, Kunsthalle MünsterForest Pathways. A lecture by Natasha Ginwala
, Kunsthalle MünsterThis presentation brings to the foreground artistic synergies composed around materiality and methods attuning to rainforests, wetlands, mountainous highlands, and urban wildernesses as part of the interdisciplinary arts festival Colomboscope's latest edition Way of the Forest. Thinker and author Ursula K. Le Guin understands the forest as a speculative site of regeneration, the tussle between opposing ways of life, and creation of a common language as a mode of collective survival. Natasha Ginwala will reflect over what constitutes forest-led thinking engaging with figures like Le Guin as well as indigenous knowledge sources, and cultural ecologies fostered through interdependence.
