In the context of the exhibition Zauri Matikashvili, You may not want to be here the Kunsthalle Münster and Filmclub Münster present the film Ta'm-e gīlās (Taste of Cherry). The film follows a man looking for someone to do a job for him, for which he offers a large sum of money. During his drives through the outskirts of Teheran he approaches prospective candidates. He reveals that he plans to kill himself and has already dug the grave. He tells the people he is soliciting to go to the spot he has chosen the next morning, and either help him up, if he has chosen to live, or bury him, if he has chosen to die. The Iranian master Abbas Kiarostami is considered one of the biggest poets of cinema. His film Ta'm-e gīlās received the Palme d'Or and is a spiritual roadmovie with an emphasis on simplicity: A mediation on mortality with an unforgettable punchline.
